Anomaly 072 refers to an anomalous group of camels (Camelus dromedarius), with about 16 specimens currently in captivity and it is not known whether there are more specimens in the wild. They do not differ in appearance or behavior. Instances do not age and are technically immortal as long as they are not killed. They do not need any sustenance to survive and are not affected by this.
Its abnormal ability manifests itself exactly one minute after consuming liquids or food, and this causes an unknown reaction that makes the camel explode violently. The reason for this is unknown. Contrary to what many would believe, the specimens of Anomaly 072 seem to want to die because they constantly seek food to activate their anomaly.
Discovery: They were discovered after multiple incidents of alleged terrorist nature involving explosions in public and busy places. When the incident was investigated, people reported that several camels were tearing apart the land, destroying several markets and houses. This was investigated until a colony of camels (current specimens 072) were found housed in corrals for sale. When the seller was contacted, he stated that he found them wandering around the area and that he planned to sell or rent them to travelers. The specimens were confiscated by the agency and subsequently contained. Upon examination of the camels, the following note was found written in Arabic:
