Anomaly 052

Goat Glue

Safety Class: Degree 1 - Safe
Containment Procedure: All specimens are contained in secure pens specialized for anomalous animals. They must be cared for and treated as a typical goat herd.

Anomaly 052 is an anomalous variation of domestic goats (Capra aegagrus hircus). Physically and physiologically, they do not differ from normal goats. Their behavior is also typical of goats.

Anomaly 052 produces an unknown chemical compound in liquid form from their mouths at all times, with this substance replacing their saliva. This substance is highly adhesive, acting as a kind of effective glue that is impossible to remove. All tests have shown that this substance cannot be removed by conventional means, with laser extraction being the only method that has proven effective. The 052 specimens do not seem to be affected by the substance in any way, as it does not produce an adhesive effect on them. These specimens have a habit of sticking objects and living beings to surfaces such as floors and walls.

Discovery

They were originally discovered in a small German village where incidents of objects stuck together and impossible to separate were reported. The reports described "giant spiders" as the ones sticking objects, prompting our agency to search for some sort of anomalous spider. It wasn't until a specimen was caught in the act that the true nature of the anomaly was understood. Upon investigation, it was discovered that the goat belonged to a local farmer who owned a herd of 34 goats, all of them anomalous. Apparently, the farmer's goats used to escape and return, so he never bothered to keep them enclosed. Amnestics were administered, the stories were debunked, and all the goats were contained.
